Viral proteins can be divided into structural proteins and non-structures according to whether they exist in virus particles. The former refers to the proteins necessary to form a mature infectious virus particle. Viral structural proteins include capsid protein, envelope protein, and enzyme existing in the virus particle. The capsid protein is the protein that forms the structure of the virus capsid. The protein subunit formed by the folding of one or more polypeptide chains is the smallest unit of the capsid protein.
