Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Service

Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell

The iPS cell technology, developed first by Shinya Yamanaka’s lab in 2006, unveils the potential of reprogramming somatic cells into pluripotent stem cells by introducing specific transcription factors. To date, many kinds of terminally differentiated cells, including fibroblasts, urine cells, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), have been successfully reprogrammed via this method.
